I found interesting post on Avsim
    Link
It claiming to have good accuracy and multi platform capability and it does not require mother server.
Seems to be, as long as there is one person connected, session continues.
    Looking forward to some testing.

Some initial testing reveals excellent positioning accuracy with no noticeable delay, simplicity of connecting and adjusting model matching.
These results where achieved in very small 2 pilot environment.
It could be useless in larger numbers of aircraft in the session.
I hope to get some more testing with larger group.

I have it too although I have no idea who else is running it?

I'm a PC down at the moment so can't run it 24/7 but I do have it open now if anybody wants to connect to me?

        IP= roo.servebeer.com

Nice Roo, thanx, Flight_Engeneer and me going to test it..., but with roo.servebeer.com it will not work, because JoinFS wants to have a regular IP number

Built-in FSrecorder-like features?!? I foresee group flights escorting pre-recorded formations of B-17s... Fly-ins with pre-recorded local traffic... Airshows like we've never envisioned before...

Has anyone taken apart the software, or at least packet-checked to see what magic this thing possesses in order to abolish delay & jitter?

P.S.- Here's a youtube video of the creator doing some pre-recorded/overdubbed-playback work:

I was really impressed with the smoothness of JoinFS. I was even more impressed with how easy it was to change the planes of those players that are flying a plane you don't have. It reminded me of how easy FSHost was to use, only FSHost was neither fast, nor smooth...at least til the planes were a mile or more apart.
I echo the sentiments of those here expressing an interest in FS2004/FS9 compatibility! I still use FS9. I use it because there are many aircraft that I still enjoy flying that were never developed beyond FS9. Many of the KBT Team and Bill Lyons models are in FSX in some form, but they don't work as intended, and/or have many of the original model features removed for compatiablity reasons. Also, Golden Wings and Silver Wings never went past FS9. They are art, not just a flight simulator.
Thank you so much for your hard work on this interface. If you need a beta tester, count me in, too.

                  So far so good.
I've sent a message to the author with some code that will enable traffic to be seen on the default radar which will satisfy my ATC thirst.

I'm still acting as a badun at the moment seeing if I can cause problems during a session, which I can but doesn't seem too problematic at the moment.

If a TACPACer joined in and started shooting people that would be interesting to see.

I agree with PR, Mike. I installed the older version 0.42 and everything worked fine. There must be some problem with version 1.0 and P3D.

I did not have Travis' issues with P3D while using JoinFS v1.00. I did find it quite easy to have two separate versions installed. It took us all a matter of seconds to switch from 1.00 to v0.42 so that Travis could fly with us. When he left, we just as easily switched back to v1.00 so that we could fly helicopters.

For the time being, I have figured out how to have JoinFS running 24/7 at the REDBOX IP (108.202.88.158). It is currently running v1.00. The method I am using is not a long term solution but will do for a few weeks or so.

I had no problems with P3Dv3.4 and JionFS(both versions). It's quick to download, setup, and use. I did have problems with X-Plane 10.5 though. I couldn't get it to find any models, so I couldn't see anyone. I'll see if I can get that working today though. Great find Mike. Thanks.

Edit: I take back the X-Plane problem. It looks like they're looking into that for a future version of JoinFS.

ai_player.dll failure suggests that you are running AI traffic, make sure that all AI traffic sliders are to the left.
For all the people - AI traffic needs to be switched off.
