  • 2016 EAA AirVenture Fly-In Boeing Style

    Hello everyone this is your pal GarbageManTrev it's that time again. It's time for the 2016 AirVenture Oshkosh EAA. This year is a special year because it is Boeings 100th year anniversary. Need I say more? This is a celebration of flight and of a companies vision and patriotism to build aircraft that people only dreamed could be possible.

    For this years fly-in we will be flying from Seattle, Washington on a 4 hop trip to Oshkosh, Wisconsin for this years fly in.

    Before you take this journey tonight think really think about your favorite Boeing or McDonnell Douglas Aircraft old and new and download them before the legs. I want to know why you chose these aircraft think about it.

    Here is the itinerary

    Starting airport = King County International Airport at Boeing Field = KBFI

    For this hop fly a Boeing or McDonnell Douglas Civil or Military aircraft that was active before 1953.

    I will be flying my Boeing C-97 Stratotanker

    Here is a list of aircraft that will be acceptable
    - DC-2
    - DC-3
    - Boeing 377
    - Boeing C-97
    - Boeing B-17
    - Boeing B-25
    - Boeing B-29
    - DC-7

    Or anything you can think of from these two manufacturers

    First Stop = Billings Logan International Airport = KBIL

    For this hop please choose a Boeing and or Douglas civil or Military aircraft that was active after 1953.

    I will be flying the Midwest Airlines Boeing 717

    Here is a list of aircraft acceptably for this leg
    - Boeing 720
    - Boeing 707
    - Boeing 717
    - Douglas DC-9, DC-10, MD-11
    - Boeing 747
    - Boeing 727, 737, 757, 767, 777, 787

    Or anything you can think of from this era of flight

    Second Stop = Hector International Airport in Fargo, ND = KFAR

    For this last flight please choose a Heavy from Boeing or McDonnell Douglas for this leg I will be a little more strict you must pick a aircraft that is considered a Jumbo Jet or Heavy I will accept nothing smaller than a DC-8 here is a list I will accept

    I will be flying an American Airlines Boeing 787

    - DC-8, DC-10, MD-11
    - Boeing 707, 720, 757, 747, 767, 777, 787
    - KC-135, B-52, KC-46

    Or anything you can think of from Boeing or McDonnell Douglas that is considered a Heavy

    Last Stop = Wittman Regional Airport in Oshkosh, Wisconsin

    King County International Airport Boeing Field = KBFI
    Billings Logan International Airport = KBIL
    Fargo Hector International Airport = KFAR
    Oshkosh Wittman Regional Airport = KOSH

    We will be flying direct GPS

    We will be flying at FL250 to FL300

    We will be cruising at a airspeed of 250 to 330 knots


    We also will be using simlink.

        Live weather should be nice in Fargo, but bring a fire suit....it's gonna be a hot one!
