    FSX users

    Step 1.
Download and Install Vpilot. (version 1.1.5851.23849)
(If you have Vpilot already installed click here for details)

    Step 2.
Download and install the MSFlights Proxy Client.
You may get an antivirus warning but it’s safe to install.

    Step 3.
    Download model matching files.

    Step 4.
    From FSX Default Aircraft_ms_v6.zip

    1. Put all "AI..." folders in "SimObjects\Rotorcraft" folder.
    2. Put "FSX Default Aircraft_ms.vmr" in "C:\Users\yourname\Documents\vPilot Files\Model Matching Rule Sets" folder.

    Step 5.
Start FSX, go to "Free Flight", start your flight and when you are in the cockpit, all loaded in, minimize FSX and go to next step.

    Step 6.
Start the proxy, go “File/Settings…/Server URL”
    put;
    108.202.88.158
    or
    72.193.29.165
    or
    roo.servebeer.com
    or
    101.165.150.139

    Press “OK”

    (108.202.88.158 , 72.193.29.165 -US Servers, roo.servebeer.com - UK Server,101.165.150.139 -AU Server)

    Press “Start Proxy”
    minimize

    Step 7.
    In Vpilot , go "Settings/General”

    CID: MSFPILOT
    Password: MSFPILOT
    Full Name: Your name/Gamer Tag.
    Home Airport: not that important
    Server: Local Proxy

(CID & Password works the best if you use copy and paste)

    Miscellaneus
Check for vPilot updates on channel - OFF
Check for model matching rule set updates - OFF
Don't let Vpilots to be updated past 1.1.5851.23849 Version
Anything newer will not work for SimLink.

    Go "Settings/Model Matching" - "Add Custom File(s).." <FSX Default Aircraft_ms.vmr>,
for "Default model" on the bottom left, press the button "Use FSX A321" or "Use P3D CRJ-700" depending on which sim your using. "Apply" “OK”

On the left top press “Connect”

“Callsign” - please use something corresponding to your team speak name.
“Type Code" - pick the closest looking Aircraft to what you are really flying from that list CLICK

    Press “Connect”

You are connected and have set up SimLink for minimum requirements.

Because you are flying in "Free Flight" mode, if you have any AI traffic on, it can be confusing with multiplayer traffic.

If you want to switch off AI traffic,in FSX, go to main menu on top (Press Alt) Options/Settings/Display/ traffic tab , on the left "Aviation traffic" slide the sliders to 0%, press OK.

    Same as FSX.
To use model matching FSX file, you need to transfer and Install missing aircraft from your FSX installation.
Here is the list of missing aircraft.

    Airbus_A321
    B737_800
    b747_400
    C172
    C208B
    DG808S
    Douglas_DC3
    Extra300
    FA-18
    MD_83
    P51_Racer

For those of you, with P3D, who don't have FSX or don't want to go through porting default FSX aircraft, here is a set of model matching that only uses existing P3D aircraft and msFlights set of AI aircraft.

    Download P3D model matching files

    Follow readme.txt for easy installation

If you have Vpilot already installed and using it for VATSIM, or other system, and you have updated to a newest version, it will not work correctly for SimLink.
With the the Vpilot authors permission we are providing functional release.

Download and Install Vpilot. (version 1.1.5851.23849)

You can simply run the installer on top of existing installation from the link above.
It will function correctly in SimLink as well as VATSIM (make sure to make a note of your VATSIM settings)
Even if you have already complex model matching rules installed I highly suggest to use SimLink specific installation for correct aircraft representation.

    Download model matching files.

If you discontinue using SimLink, and you require newest version of Vpiolt, reactivate automatic update in settings.
In each of those operations existing settings are not changed.
