  • Connection Problems

Finally got my headset and just cannot connect to the host at all.

We'll need a little more information because with the addition of P3D and Steam to the mix we're now operating several flavors of servers of flight sims AND teamspeak. What "host" are you referring to? If it's the teamspeak host, make sure you're trying to connect to "ts3.msflights.net".

Actually, at the top of TeamSpeak is info on our servers including IP addresses and the like

Also consider if you're using FSX:Boxed Edition with the Acceleration expansion pack (or Service Pack 2). It needs one or the other in order to connect.
Take the time, a second to soar; for soon after, beckons a second more.

                  Sounds like a port issue.
Either your router or your PC firewall is blocking the ports needed to connect.
Google FSX ports and open the ones needed.
For a quick test turn off your PC firewall and see if you can connect.
If you can you need to add the ports to the PC firewall.
But make sure you turn your firewall back on afterwards.
Only turn it off to test.
If you don't use BOINC or World Community Grid then you should!
