  • Friday Night Flights: Poland (9:00pm ET)

    Rzeczpospolita Polska
[From "Ancestors: The Origins of the People and Countries of Europe"]
"The land of Poland is a broad flat plain drained by the Oder and Vistula rivers and extending northward to the Baltic. Once glaciated, it has glacial moraines and innumerable small lakes and marshes. Only in the south close to the Czech and Slovak borders are there major mountains, the Sudety and Carpathians, though there are upland plateaus in the center of the country

Poland has connections with the wide plains of western Russia via Ukraine and Belarus on the east, with the Baltic lands on the north-west and with central Europe along the southern border. The only outlets to the sea lie along a short length of Baltic coast.

The Polish language belongs to the western Slavic group, along with Czech and Slovak. Several dialects were once very strong, but since 1945 the language has become more standardized.

One of the tribes of Slavs who occupied the area in the fifth century was the Polanie group. They settled around the Warta river and it was from these that Poland took its name."

I'll volunteer provided I can pick the route. I would do a 4 leg tour of the five largest cities in Poland:
        • Poznan > Wroclaw > Krakow > Lodz > Warsaw
        • EPPO > EPWR > EPKK > EPLL > EPWA
        • Skyvector map
        • Cruise at 250 knots at, say 3,000 ft.
        • Fast props, all sizes.

Looks like a good one. Squeeze in some screenshots of Warsaw if you can remember for me. I don't think I've been in that region in FSX as of yet. Thanks again Storm.
