Yesterday the two Lancasters, along with another famous Avro aircraft, the Vulcan, flew over, in formation, the ceremony to mark the building of a permanent memorial to all the men who lost their lives in bomber command.
I like just how the clock starts to chime you can hear the drone of the two lancasters approaching.

Not good news, The CWHM Lancaster had to shut off one engine while in flight and do an emergency landing. I've seen pictures of her with smoke coming from one of the engines (looks like engine No4).
At least the crew got down safely.
Hopefully nothing too serious and can be repaired quickly.
UPDATE: Apparently it was an oil leak, the oil leaked into the exhaust system which created the smoke.

They are in the middle of replacing the engine and hoping to have it all fixed by Tuesday for the "3 Lancs" event. Just glad everyone was safe and the aircraft is relatively ok. Make sure you guys going in person stop by that souvenir trailer, they need the money now more than ever, those engines can't be cheap plus they are missing out on money earned from the performances they are not able to attend.
